Product Description
This is a semi-submersible sightseeing boat with a giant underwater viewing dome. Unlike conventional glass-bottom boats, a large spherical transparent pod protrudes below the hull at the bow; passengers enter the below-sea-level cabin to observe coral reefs and fish without diving. Main applications: coral reef eco-tours, dolphin and whale watching in coastal waters.
1. Underwater viewing pod (below bow)：2.4 m acrylic dome with FRP boundary structure, ~1.5 m below sea level; 8–10 ring seats, interior lighting and emergency ventilation; access via inclined ladder from main deck through a watertight hatch.
2. Main-deck passenger area：Open passenger area with 35–37 perimeter bench seats; central aisle to pod entrance; non-slip quartz deck finish.
3. Wheelhouse：Raised half-deck helm station aft with console and navigation/communication equipment, full visibility.
4. Canopy： Light aluminium frame with sun-shade canvas (curved aerodynamic styling as shown).
5. Aft machinery space：Outboards on transom; fuel tanks, battery and bilge compartments in separate watertight divisions.
6. Safety outfitting：Guard rails all round, lifebuoys, liferaft stowage, boarding/swim ladder for snorkelling.
1. Hull form：Modified shallow-V round-bilge form with the spherical pod suspended below the bow; shallow draft and generous beam for passenger-ship stability.
2. Materials：Marine unsaturated polyester resin (vinyl-ester optional below waterline) with E-glass woven roving / chopped-strand mat; PVC foam sandwich for deck and superstructure; isophthalic weather-resistant gelcoat.
3. Lamination：Hull and deck hand-laid in split female moulds (vacuum infusion optional); local reinforcement at keel and pod attachment.
4. Framing：Longitudinal framing with FRP girders and transverse bulkheads; ≥4 watertight bulkheads forming buoyancy, fuel and machinery compartments for damage stability.
5. Pod attachment：Acrylic dome joined to the FRP shell via 316L stainless flange with double seals, designed and tested to watertight pressure-hatch standards.
6. Strength & stability：Longitudinal & local strength, intact stability and passenger-capacity calculations per PRC statutory rules for domestic sea-going ships; calculation book included in design deliverables.
